Rose Mei's "Pink and Sparkwy" ensemble by Reagan

Once again, we had the day off with very little to do. To sum it up quickly, we went shopping, took a stroll, let the babies play in the hallway for a while, and then let the big girls swim in the pool. Lillian finally convinced me to get in the pool with them and I reluctantly did. I just about screamed like a little girl when I jumped in. The water was 22 degrees Celsius, which equates to 71-72 degrees Fahrenheit. It was freezing! I can't believe we've been letting the girls swim in that water. I stayed in for about 30-40 minutes playing with the girls before I was shivering and had to get out. At one point I looked at Lillian and her teeth were chattering and her lips were blue. I told her to get out and get warmed up. I am pretty sure I won't be getting back in that pool, no matter how much they beg. Today's post is dedicated to Reagan Carr (5 years old) who was so excited when she saw Rose's referral back in February that she had her mom take her to Justice to buy Rose an outfit that was "Pink and Sparkwy". So, today was the day that Rose wore the outfit down the White Swan Room 905 runway. She got alot of attention and was the star of the show. In that outfit, there's no doubt she'd fit right in on the stage with Miley Cyrus. Thanks, Reagan. Rose (and Lillian) absolutely loved it. We'll be home is 6 more days, folks! Those days can't go fast enough! Enjoy the pics!

Here are some more scenes from Shamian Island here in Guangzhou. You'll notice in the last few photos of the Pearl River that the smog is really thick here. It was a sunny day today, but it seemed somewhat overcast at times because of the smog. I can't wait to get back to the clean air of Kentucky!

  1. I love how fascinated rose is by her silvery shoes, what a great outfit! After the storms left it has been a beautiful day in ky and I know you are going crazy in that hotel room. It won't be long now!

  2. Love the pics today. What a cutie! What size is Rose wearing? Also, what day and time do you get home? Seth has been really interested in Rose's story. He keeps walking around saying "I was adopted". I love for him to see what a great experience it is. Angela R.

  5. I have enjoyed getting caught up on your news and pictures! Rose is just adorable and Lillian looks like she's a natural at being a big sis! We actually have to get up early in the morning and go back to school! I can't believe our spring break is already over! I need a few more days off to rest from our week off! We have some finishing touches to do to Grace's room but that's consumed most of our week. I did take off a day and go to the Cincinnati outlets with my mom. I'm sure the kids at school will be excited to see your photos and hear of your daily events. Can't wait for you all to be home!

  6. We were on our way to Great Wolf Lodge yesterday when I first read this post. I read it to everyone and the family spent a good 1/2 hour passing my phone around to look at the pictures. Reagan was beyond thrilled that baby Rose was wearing her outfit and we all loved seeing her check out those shoes. I would be lying if I said that it was no big deal that you chose to not only take the clothes, but to post pics and an update about them too. We love you guys and can't wait till you are back. It won't be long now!!!
