Today was a great day! This morning, we went to the U.S. Consulate to submit the paperwork for the babies' Visas and Citizenship to the United States. It was our last appointment, so we are officially FINISHED! It has been such a long wait, yet now that we have the girls, it doesn't seem like it was all that long. How quickly we forget the bad once we get the good! Regardless, it was well worth the wait! We also took the traditional red couch photos today. For those of you not aware, it is customary for adoptive families staying at the White Swan Hotel to get their babies pictures on the red couch. I don't know how this started, but its been going on for a very long time as I have seen countless pictures of adopted children sitting on these red couches. All the girls, both young and old seemed to have a good time. For the most part, the babies did pretty well. Do you know how hard it is to wrangle 7 babies and four 7-10 year olds and get them to stay still so that all the parents get a chance to snap a picture or two? Let me tell you, it's not easy! Anyway, we got some great pics, as you can see below. By the way, I think all the models posing for the fashion photo shoots on the island have rubbed off on Lillian. Yikes! :-) THREE MORE DAYS AND WE'LL BE HOME! Enjoy the pics!

ReplyDeleteOk, I keep trying to post and it's not working. User error I'm sure, but don't want you to think we're not desperate for each post, so am trying again! She's gorgeous and looks like she's fitting right in. What a happy girl! And a good sleeper. You've got to love that already. Love all those pics of that sweet smiling face.
ReplyDeleteLillian is obviously loving being the big sister, and what a good job she's doing. She's already teaching her so much, I can tell. Love that she's already clutching the girly purse. Go Lillian! And what a beautiful dress for her red couch photo. Love Lillian's poses and dress too. Those Sisler women are stunners!
We cannot wait for you to get home. Will see you at the airport and then come to get snuggles after you've had a chance to get settled. What a blessing she is!!!
(In case my last post never shows up, I'll reiterate my advice to get foot massages before you come home. It's a must for the parents!)

That baby picture on the red couch is the most adorable picture !!! I can't imagine how you got all of the babies to pose and sit there! I love Lillian's dress ! She looks like a little model....gorgeous!!!
