Ni hao! I hope everyone is waking up in full recovery mode from last night's Wildcats loss. It was a long day after having watched them lose this morning, but it is OK. I would have loved to have seen them play one more game, but I am very proud of the season they had. I never expected them to get this far. I tip my hat to UConn, but I'll be rooting for Butler. Go Bulldogs! Next year is our year! So, what has Rose been up to today, you ask? Well, today was a pretty laid back day. We really focused on getting her back on her schedule today and getting her caught up on rest. She woke up at 4:00 a.m. this morning starving because she passed out last night before dinner and never woke up. But, after a quick bottle, she went right back to sleep and slept until 7:00. We then put her in bed with Lillian and they played for a few minutes before Rose had a bottle for breakfast. Then we all went down to breakfast. Afterwards, our group watched the UK game. Rose spent the day playing with Savannah and sleeping (2 naps). We actually couldn't get her to awaken during her 2nd nap and were afraid that she wouldn't go to bed tonight. Fortunately, that was not a problem. Right after her dinner bottle, she fell right asleep. Lillian spent the day playing with Kari, Sophi, and Jae, as well as playing with her new sister. Lillian has been such a huge help and absolutely adores her new sister. Just tonight, she said "I just can't believe I'm finally a big sister!" She's very happy. Rose and Lillian took a bath this evening and although we're not quite sure she enjoy the bath, she at least didn't have a major meltdown. Lillian thoroughly enjoyed it, though. All in all, it was just a lazy Sunday here in Guangzhou! We miss you all. Keep the comments coming! Enjoy the rest of your Sunday! |

Rose has the cutest chubby cheeks ever! I have to say, I'm a little jealous you are in Guangzhou right now. I miss Guangzhou and the White Swan a bunch. Enjoy! By the way, is Li Ping your guide?
ReplyDeleteThe picture where Lillian is laying her head on Rose needs to be framed!! It's precious. The pic of Rose in the bath looking at Michelle like,"Please get me out of here!" is so funny! Glad things are going well. I showed off your blog pics last night and the awing and ooooing was abundant! Everyone agreed that Rose is beautiful, each new pic I would pull up and show got a bigger "awe" than the last! She has won Land over with her chubby cheeks for sure! We were all sad that UK lost, but per usual, we were laughing again in no time! It was the general consensus that UK lost because Kevin wasn't sitting in the stool by the bar! :) We are all really excited and happy for you all! Your house is still standing.... Do you need anyone to take care of Cocoa Fuzz Ball Sisler? I forgot all about the poor little thing?!?

ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, Rose is sooooo cute!! Glad to see you guys relaxing and bonding so well. I can't wait to see her in person. I know all of you have waited so long for this moment. I can see the joy in your faces. Love, Angela R.
ReplyDeleteSuch touching photos!! Lillian looks so happy and content. It's amazing, isn't it, how quickly sisters can bond? Malia bonded with Kelsey first, and the love between them was so evident even from the very beginning!
ReplyDeleteYour comments about breakfast brought back tummy-stirring memories of the White Swan buffet!! I LOVED those noodles and ate them every morning. MMMM! I think I was one of the few in our group that actually enjoyed the food while we were there! hahaha
Hugs to you all! Lovin' the updates!
I love seeing Lillian being so sweet with Rose. Yes, it makes me teary, but then again, it all does. Kevin, you two look so great together. This one is a "daddy's girl" from the very beginning. I'm so happy she is sleeping so well for you. Hope that continues. I've had both and must confess that I tend to enjoy them more during the day if they let me sleep at night. :)
ReplyDeleteI am all over this blog every morning till the pics come up. Can't wait for new ones today. Love you guys! The Carrs
What a beautiful family. It makes me realize what I missed out on being the "only child". There will truly be a special bond between Lillian and Rose that no one else will ever understand. I can't wait until you guys get home so I can see the whole clan!!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your visit!
Love you guys,
Debbie M.
